This policy is an optional additional policy available to all Duck for Cover Members covered under the Public Liability policy.
The policy covers your performing equipment while in transit or while temporarily in storage (including at home).
Performing Equipment is limited to items owned by the insured member and are used in the actual performance, rehearsal or teaching of their listed activities and are mobile and not stored at any single location (including home) for a period of more than 60 consecutive days.
Your equipment will be insured against Theft evidenced by forcible entry into a securely locked vehicle or home, venue or temporary storage location, collision or overturning of a vehicle carrying the items, Fire, explosion, lightning or flood.
The basic Performing Equipment policy does not cover Accidental Damage.
The cover is Australia wide. (You can also extend the basic cover to include Accidental Damage and World Wide cover.)
The policy covers all of your equipment to a total amount claimable for the period of insurance of $5,000 or $10,000 (you decide the level of cover required).
The limit any one item of equipment is $2000.
The limit for Accidental Damage (where the extension is taken) is $2,000 per member for the insurance period.
Schedules of equipment are not required. You will need to show proof of ownership when lodging a claim.
The excess payable in the event of a claim will be $100 for all claims except Burglary $250, Accidental Damage (where extension taken) $250 and World Wide Claims (where extension taken) $500.
PLEASE NOTE: Personal Electronic devices including Mobile phones, I-pads, Cameras, Laptops will only be insured under this policy if it can be proven by the insured member that this equipment was used exclusively as mobile performing equipment.
Cover is Australia Wide (Unless World Wide Extension option is selected).
The insurance does not cover loss or damage caused by Theft From Stage, Malicious Damage, Equipment Hire, Mechanical or Electronic Breakdown or Accidental Damage (unless Accidental Damage Extension option is selected).
Note: the sum insured selected is the total amount payable for all claims for that member for the insurance year and cannot be reinstated.
For an additional cost, you can extend your Performing Equipment cover to include:
Accidental Damage - ($2,000 limit per item and in total for insurance year/$250 excess per claim) and extend the Geographical limit on policy from Australia Wide to World Wide (excess $500 per claim).
There is no refund of policy premium once your application has been approved and forwarded to the insurer.
